楓 Kaede

Kaede

The old fashion Kyoto
楓 (Kaede) is maple in Japanese.
This guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood that is closed to quite a few temples and shrines, which are perfect for watching the change of seasons.
Just to name a few, there are Tenmangu Shrine, Hirano Shrine, Kinkakuji, Ryusanji, Ninnaji temple, and Daikakuji.
When spring is near, plum tree will first blossom, and follow by cherry blossoms and irises.
Nearby, there's also an antique market, which not a lot of people know about on their first visit.
It opens on the 25th of every month.
Kaede has a large entrance. There is a small but well-maintained garden.
This is a traditional guesthouse with both Japanese and Western style bedrooms.
It is the perfect guesthouse for a peaceful Kyoto experience and a good rest at night.
We look forward to having you.
